Introducing my Community feature

This is a Rutgers-wide social media type of site where you can chat with other students, faculty, and staff find events going on, start discussions and much more! It uses familiar layout that is based on other social media applications, which helps make it easy to use. We want to empower you so you can be more engaged than ever with everything at Rutgers.

Features include:

ACTIVITY FEEDS

The activity feed is the landing page with recent posts from people you connected or are following, groups, or forums you are part of, to include just content that is relevant to each member.

PROFILES

Members can upload avatars, edit profiles and view other members’ profiles.

POSTS

Members can share videos, pictures, links, and docs on their profiles and groups with custom privacy settings.

FORUM & DISCUSSIONS

Members can collaborate, engage  in asynchronous discussions, share knowledge, find answers, and subscribe/follow on-going threads.

DIRECT MESSAGES

Members can send private messages to one member or a group of members.

CONNECTIONS & FOLLOWERS

Members can view, follow and connect with each other.

COMMENTS & LIKES

Members can engage with each other’s posts with features including @mentions, pictures, gifs, and more.
