Enroll with a Smartphone

Note: You  are strongly encouraged to enroll more than one device such as smartphone and tablet to avoid difficulties authenticating with your NetID+  if your primary device is not available.

  1.  Install Duo Mobile Application in your device’s application store

  2. Open Duo Application

  3. Add Account
    Accept the license agreement (Click OK).
    Allowing notification will send a notification on your mobile when you use “Send me a Push” option while logging in to CAS protected application. Also, you will be immediately notified if someone other than you is trying to access you account.

  4. Click OK to let DUO mobile app access your camera. This is needed to scan the activation code to complete your enrollment via NetID Management Application:


NetID+ Enrollment:

  1. Go to the NetID+ Management Application (https://netid.rutgers.edu)  and Click on Manage  NetID+
  2. Enter Your User  NetID and Passwordduo_login_to_nmgt
  3. Click on either of the “Start Your Enrollment” link shown below:
  4. A pop up window will appear. Click on “Start Setup”duo_startEnrollment
  5. Add a Device. Select Mobile phone duo_add_a_device
  6. Select Platform from  the list duo_add_a_device2duo_add_a_device3
  7. . You should have Duo mobile app  per (step #1)  Use the DUO mobile app on your device to scan the QR Code
  8. You should see a message that “Device was successfully Added”  Click OK to complete your enrollment. Close the DUO Enrollment pop up for NetID Management Application.


After  successful scanning , Click continueduo_add_a_device8
  You should see Rutgers University Entry in your Duo Mobile Applicationduo_scan2
