Project Methodology

The PMO adheres to industry-wide project management best practices and has adopted the project management methodology defined by the Project Management Institute. At its highest level, the methodology calls for five discrete project phases as seen in the diagram below. Each phase is gated by a variety of deliverables that ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. This methodology is flexible and is adapted in differing ways for individual projects based on project scope, project cost, project timeline, project complexity, project visibility, and project risk.
